About Capri Helicopters

Company Profile

The Chief Executive Officer, Corné Schabort received his flying capabilities from the South African Air Force where he spent 7 years of his life, carrying out rescues, cargo slinging, fire fighting, offshore flying and various other missions. In 1999 he left the SAAF to start a career in the public sector of the aviation industry working, amongst other companies, for Court Helicopters, Canadian Helicopter Company, Air Mauritius and the SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service. He obtained his Airline Transport Pilot License in 2004, the highest credential a pilot can obtain, and has logged over 5000 hours flying time on helicopters. Corné is also the holder of a commercial aeroplane licence.

Capri Helicopters has been operating for approximately six years, the last three of which under ownership and control of Corné, expanding the business to cover not only the Garden Route and Eastern Cape area, but the whole of South Africa. It did not take long for Capri Helicopters to become recognised as a reputable, reliable, efficient and SA Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Licensed Helicopter Operator, with utility helicopter work and helicopter transport naturally still remaining it's prime concerns.

We take pride in our ability to operate within the law, as laid down by the Civil Aviation Authority of South Africa, hence the clean safety records and accident free operations since Capri Helicopters was owned by Corné. This safety record is achieved by, among other things, comprehensive maintenance on our helicopters and appropriately trained pilots. No short cuts are allowed.

AT CAPRI HELICOPTERS, WE PUT SAFETY BEFORE PRICE.
