About Capri Helicopters

Company Profile

The Chief Executive Officer, Corné Schabort received his immaculate flying capabilities from the South African Air Force where he spent 7 years of his life, carrying out rescues, cargo slinging, fire fighting, offshore flying and various other daunting missions. In 1999 he left the SAAF to start an aspiring career in public sector of the aviation industry working, amongst other companies, for Court Helicopters, Canadian Helicopter Company, Air Mauritius, SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service, and Indwe Helicopters. He obtained the Airline Transport Pilot License in 2004, the highest credential a pilot can obtain, and has logged over 5000 hours total flying time.

Capri Helicopters has been operating for the past five years, two of which under ownership and control of Corné, expanding the business to cover not just the Eastern Cape area, but the entire Garden Route and Western Cape regions. It did not take long for Capri Helicopters to become recognised as a reputable, reliable, efficient and SA Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Licensed Helicopter Operator, with utility helicopter work and helicopter tourism naturally still remaining its prime concerns. We take pride in our ability to operate within the law, as laid down by the Civil Aviation Authority of South Africa, hence the clean safety records and accident free operations since Capri Helicopters was owned by Corné.

With the above brief introduction, we now extend a warm and friendly welcome to you the client. We invite you to experience anything from the very exhilarating scenic helicopter flights and tours that we offer, to any of our many other commercial operations - all carried out efficiently, cost effective, reliable and safely.
